The National Park Region in the Norwegian valley Gudbrandsdalen, is known for its perfect skiing conditions during spring seasons. With its six national parks and endless skiing opportunities the region is used to thousands of tourist coming during the spring skiing season.

But this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Norwegian government has decided that everyone has to stay at home during the easter holiday.

But that did not stop the local DMO to spread some a little joy, during these uncertain times.

The sunglass tan Instagram filter or «Brilleskille» as it´s called in Norwegian is just what we needed. A filter for everyone that is stuck at home and can’t travel up to the mountains to go skiing. You can find it on their Instagram profile @Nasjonalparkriket or search for «Brilleskille 2020» on instagram.

The response has been incredible. We belive that most Norwegians respect the rules that the government had to make to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, but they are, as the rest of us longing to go skiing and once again use our iconic when this terrible situation is over, says Martin Amble Ruge, content producer at The National Park Region.

The term «Brilleskille», or goggle tan, is a well known term for most Norwegians, and especially during the easter holiday.

The filter comes with three options. You can choose between «The Sunglass Tanline», «The Classic Goggle Tan» and the more iconic «Sunburned Dad Tan».
