This Architect Combines Buildings From Two Different Cultures On Virtual Reality And Creates A Starry Fictional Artwork
We have all been on Google Maps checking the next holiday destination. Architect and Artist Isha Pundir aka Artyarchymoo used to go on Architectural adventures on Google maps around the world. That’s when she had the idea of taking Architectural elements from the cities on Google maps and combining them in unique ways on Virtual Reality.
This artwork ‘City Monsters’ is an Architectural mix of the cities Frankfurt in Germany and Pune in India. Different buildings from the cities combine with each other and each combination is called a ‘Monster’. The scene is set around the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, where the “monsters” inhibit. Each combination is given a unique texture that overlaps with the original texture of the buildings on Google maps. The cluster of monsters placed in a stunning starry environment elevates the whole experience of looking at the artwork on Virtual Reality.
