The Story Of How I Got My Camera And My Journey Of Figuring Out Photography
(Side note: I am using fake names for the humans the animals are true names) I got my first camera in December 2018 in my first week of winter break. I had used my grandma’s canon rebel for 3 1/2 – 4 years and let me tell you my grandma was mad that I used her camera continuously for multiple years. Ya’ll don’t understand how annoying I was EVERY SINGLE TIME I went to my grandma’s house after I learned that my grandma had a camera I asked her if I could use it. She got so sick and tired of me taking her camera and running around her house and yard taking photos of EVERYTHING. Finally she was like OK how badly do you want a camera after giving me a go pro for Christmas. Don’t get me wrong i’m not against go pro’s at all it’s just not what I wanted to use, as well as the photos I took were out of order and not the quality that I had wanted to achieve. So my grandma asked me “Brook how badly do you want a camera like mine.” and I was like ” What type of a question is that???????” and she said ” well you would have to work 40 hours.” and I replied “OMG are you serious?????” she said “$10 an hour for a $400 camera” so I worked over the summer and had to stop about a month before I started 8th grade because of the forest fires in California. Then I was really busy with school work and I got really “depressed”, continuously telling myself that I was never going to finish the hours I needed to get my camera and I basically gave up. After a few months we end up in winter break December 2018, I got the remaining 3 hours done on 12/18/18 and then we went to Costco and got my camera (which was on sale due to it being so close to Christmas it was $399 instead of $430 (I think).) and I was jumping up and down the first picture I took was of Annie my grandmas mini poodle. Since then I have turned 14 and taken 3,812 photos of my dogs, my family’s dogs, wildlife, and Nature. Here are some photos from the categories I mentioned that help me achieve happiness, and overall make me feel better about life. (BE AWARE YOU COULD DIE FROM HAPPINESS!!)
