The Overbite Queen, Gwyneth

I have always been into animal rescue for as long as I can remember. My uncle Bill encouraged my saving efforts by allowing me to pick up injured squirrels, crows, mice, and opossums and take them to the local wildlife rehabilitation center.

Fast forward some years, and I couldn’t resist rescuing dogs in need. That is when I met Gwyneth, my overbite queen. She was an abandoned pup out in the countryside and a friend had asked me to come check her out. “I think there is something wrong with her mouth.”

When I arrived on the scene, there was this little auburn and white fluffy pup with an extra-long mousey snout and a two inch overbite! I wondered in a panic, could she eat? Did they make dog braces? Would she need them? Baby Gwyneth leapt into my arms excitedly and I took her home with me.

Upon closer inspection, her eyes were also very unique with starburst pupils resembling cracked marbles. A trip to the vet proved that Gwyn was a-okay with a clean bill of health and just some distinctive features.

Initially thinking Gwyneth would be a dog I would just temporarily foster, I fell in love with her and decided we needed her as part of the doggie team at my place.

And eat! Gwyneth has no issues eating with her overbite. In fact, she sometimes tries to overindulge a little too much. But I get it, I too am a girl who loves the yummy snacks.

Gwyneth is a definite favorite of most who meet her, with her sassy attitude and silly faces. She will lay her head on your lap sideways and smile with her tongue out to the side, making sure she brightens your day. She lives with her two doggie bros, Sinatra and Gaston, and her bossy pup sis, Aoife. Enjoy the pics of this irresistible overbite queen! (She usually has a toy in her mouth to show her friends)
