Invisible Bridges is a project in progress influenced by my hearing loss. Among the most significant ways that it has impacted my life is how I communicate and build connections with people. I aim to express the challenges as well as hidden perks that my condition has brought me. There are difficulties (obvious and more subtle) in understanding others and expressing myself, which can lead to a painful sense of isolation. But on another level, it also allows me to see past the world of symbols that can be mistaken for reality and connect with people on a deeper level.
