The Idea For This Book Came To Me When I One Day Caught Myself Calling Out “Where Are My Mitnees?” mitnees Are What My Daughter Had Called Mittens When She Was First Learning How To Talk. i Began To Think That Other People Must Have Similar Words. and So I Asked Relatives, Friends, Even Strangers In Line At The Grocery Store If They Had Special Words Too. these Charming Words Not Only Inspired My Drawings But Also Resonate With Cherished Family Memories.
What’s A Woofy? is a collection of authentic and whimsical words that were made up by children as they learned to talk. Each page features one of these words with the real word below it. The words are accompanied by a humorous poem and one of my original drawings. This book highlights the creativity and fun of wordplay. There are two pages at the end of the book designated for writing down special personal words, creating a family keepsake wordbook.

Share on Facebook"Woofy" is a pretty obvious one for a dog, my half sister was fond of "woofies" although I have never heard her word "boonk" for milk used by anyone else.
Thanks for the new word!! I'll add it to my list. Maybe it will make it to the next book.
