Open Code Urban Furniture – a construction set adaptive to the needs and wishes of different neighborhoods. Instrumental in arranging a space for sharing (drawers installed). A series of open code urban furniture workshops are run in 4 Vilnius neighborhoods in cooperation with the local residents. 4 furniture sets, 4 Vilnius neighborhoods – and 4 different scenarios of use, to understand how public spaces and urban furniture work. The same basic set becomes different in each context.

Share on FacebookDepending on the level of safety in trust in the neighbourhood, the reseidents either choose or refused some of the options: for example, most of neighbourhoods choose concrete cubes as a steal-proof solution, while one of the participating neighbourhood decided not to install a drawer for sharing.
This Project is really inspired me, hopefully i will make it in my Country (Indonesia).. #Awesome
Great to know! We are preparing the schemes for this furniture, as it's an open source.
