Starving Dog Who Couldn’t Stand Up Makes An Incredible Transformation
When Barilla was brought to a rescue center in Granada, Spain, she was so starved that her bones were sticking out from her skin and her organs were close to failing. But the rescue’s owner Eduardo Rodriguez was determined to get her back on her paws.
“I’ve been rescuing dogs since I was a child and I’m used to seeing them in a bad way but I’ve never seen an animal in such a terrible state as Barilla,” Rodriguez told Daily Mail. “She’d been so starved of food and water when we took her in that all she could move was her head and her tail.”
After 7 weeks of treatment, Barilla now looks like a different dog. “Her recovery has been staggering,” said Rodriguez.”The vet said several times that…most normal dogs would have died. We’re inseparable now…The first day I saw her I told my colleagues I was going to keep her and that’s the way it’s been.”

I love the two dogs with the man ..... It's true, dogs love unconditionally. I truly believe they're God's special gifts to humans. I also love the Barilla story.
I have passed this post by several times because I could be to see the suffering. I finally had the courage to watch. I cried, I smiled, and I laughed. This is so beautiful. Eduardo is an angel. God bless you both in your special bond of love.

As a lifelong lover of pets (and animals in general), I simply cannot comprehend at any level how anyone could be so cruel and abusive. If a person cannot afford a pet (of any type) or simply wants to abuse the pet, they should be prevented legally from having one.
What an amazing man.... It is so nice to know there are still nice people in the world... If only I could find one to look after me like that... xoxo

We are all connected! Every animal on this planet (including humans which are just another "animal") is in someway connected to all. Barilla turned out to be so beautiful, her rescuer is the kind of person we should all be, and all of us should have, in some way or another, have a wonderful forever home. And THAT is my dreamland.
Too bad they don't use the meat from the slaughtered animals in the bullrings to fee these street dogs. - but then, that's Spain for you.

That brought tears to my eyes. That poor, sweet girl. She was wagging her tail at stranger even though she was so weak. I am glad that man helped her and loves her and takes care of her now. The question is, why was she in this state before he rescued her? Was she a stray? Or did she have another "owner" who did this to her and should be punished?
Holy molly, THAT'S the result after seven weeks??? That's not just recovery, some miracle is happening right there. Wow!
I cried when i saw this! How can some humans do this - so cruel! Bless you Eduardo for her rescue.I can only imagine how traumatized you both where.
