There is a lot of talking about the Starlink satellites lately. SpaceX (from Elon Musk) is launching a lot of satellites and they can be seen as a ‘train’ in the night sky.

For photographers and especially for timelapse photographers this is really annoying. I was shooting a timelapse of the Lyrid meteor shower and was ‘surprised’ by the Starlink satellite train.

I could erase the satellites in post production, but I wanted to show you how the satellites look like in a timelapse.

It’s almost like a gun shooting from a bad looking scifi film, haha! :-) Watch at 0:20 and 0:50.

Lets hope the brightness will be less in the future. Especially because there will be launched thousands of these satellites…
