Although I look around at artwork and don’t see many artists combining realistic with the more abstract approach, I felt like I wanted to try it. To achieve that, my method was simple. The Black Capped Chickadee was painted as realistic as I could and then surrounded with reds and pinks in an attempt to create vague Cherry Blossoms!
