There’s something about ice that just makes my heart melt.
Take a moment and look at it, and you will see the wonders of the earth. This is the thing that, one way or another, has created our planet, this is the true element of creation that shaped mountains and formed valley and crevasses.
For some, it’s just the small thing that cools a drink on a hot day or a surface on which we can skate on. Yet, to truly understand and respect the ice one should do a trip to the Northern hemisphere, and my piece of advice would be Iceland. No people understand ice like Icelandic people do – you can trust me on this.
My boyfriend and I spent a whole week in the freezing Icelandic depths. What do you do when you get stranded in ice? Well, if you have a camera, all you can do, is take some great pics of all the iciness that almost emprisons you and capture the beauty of the ice that surrounds and embraces you.
Nothing compares with being surrounded by ice. It’s the strangest feeling of alienation and gratitude that one may experience. The stillness that awaits liberation…this is the feeling that Icelandic ice gives to you. It’s a sort of strange chill that makes you forget about the cold outside.
Enough with the talking. Here are the results. Don’t expect macros, but rather enjoy:
