I Picked Up Some Sidewalk Chalk While My Kids Played Outside And Then This Happened
When my youngest kid was 3 she wanted to play outside with the big kids, but I couldn’t just let her wander the neighborhood alone so I started drawing on the driveway with sidewalk chalk.
What started as a way to pass the time 3 year ago has morphed into a passion I never knew I had. I have no formal training; in fact my high school art teacher told me not to waste my time. Now, I’m getting invited to chalk at events all over my city.
If you told me 3 years ago I’d be chalking a huge Mona Lisa Miss Piggy for a local, popular art festival I’d have said, “You’re crazy!” but that’s exactly what I did yesterday!

Share on FacebookPooey on your art teacher! Follow your passion and do what you love. I couldn't get into the writer's club in my school and I've published four books and over fifty articles (and even made it into Wikpedia) so there!
Great work- Makes me smile. Keep it up, am sure you are bringing many smiles to many people.
Thank you. The smiles are the best part!

This is great. I am writing a lab for a chemistry class in which the students produce calcium carbonate (chalk) as their product and I would like to get permission to use your first image in the lab (properly credited of course).
Really? Your art teacher said that? Well, good for you for following your dreams and your heart! Woohoo! They are all awesome BTW
She really did! I wish I could find her now :D
