Shine In The Darkness
This work symbolizes my struggle to move forward after leaving an abusive and cult-like marriage (and community) with my four beautiful children in 2011. I refused to allow my light to be smothered and I have worked hard, over the past 6 years, to regain my sense of self, understand my beauty and over-come PTSD and anxiety from the abuse. I will never let the darkness overcome me.
