Say hello to my nephew as Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask with the Sailor Moon characters.
This session was first in the works back in the ’90s when me and sister were just little kids. We fell in love with the Sailor Moon anime. Me and my little sister set up an alarm to watch it on a tiny little black and white tv in our room at 5 am and then when the tv station switched the time to around 3:00 pm we would first race home to catch Sailor Moon. There were no Tivo, HULU, or Netflix folks, and we had it rough! I’m not sure why we loved it so much, maybe because it was an almost all female hero group, or the friendships, or the love story or maybe the awesome ’90s music. It was something me and my sister bonded over even to this day.
So when my sister told me she was pregnant with her second child and found out it was a boy, I thought to myself, how can we make his baby photos epic? Let’s make a Sailor Moon cosplay costume for the newborn photoshoot!
My sister bought the moon, and I bought all the Sailor Moon dolls. I even did a DIY project to make cute baby Tuxedo Masks outfit.
Yes, I realize we are huge nerds, but we are really happy nerds, and we are totally geeking out over how this baby photoshoot came together.

Yes!!!! I love sailor moon! I use to do the exact same thing, race home to watch it and after a while I would set up a VHS to record it so I could watch it when I got home. Few times it messed up recording it and I was like, noooooooo!!!!!! Lol
