Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Early Morning. Photographing a horse in the ocean has not been one of my favorites. When on this location, I am normally playing around and not focusing. I’m just present physically, not mentally. I have also never taken a good photograph from here, I blame it on the quality of light, location, horses etc; never taking responsibility.
This day, a friend of mine got upset at me because I was joking around and distracting him not allowing him to focus. He said, “why are you here if you don’t want to be?” That put me into place. I decided to focus on photography and make it work, even though I didn’t like anything about the location. After looking at some of the images from this location, I realized it was all in my mind. It had nothing to do with external elements.
