This Is How Reopening Looks Around The World And It’s Different From What We’re Seeing In The US (32 Pics)
After months of misery, cabin fever, sheer boredom, and the surprising allure of staying in, the world is slowly returning to normal. With Germany, Finland, Austria, Italy, Spain, and more European countries easing their quarantine restrictions, the end feels closer than ever.
But don’t be fooled. Nobody is out and about doing what they please. There’re many protective measures implemented to make sure everyone is protected. From hand-sanitizing stations and glass partitions in the gyms to robots measuring body temperature, these countries know it’s better safe than sorry. Let’s take a look at some of the most motivational reopening pictures that are setting the safety standard high for Opening Up America Again.

This UV Handrail Sterilizer On An Escalator In Hong Kong
It's doing nothing. UV sterilization requires at least 15 minutes of direct exposure - MINIMUM. When I did neurosurgery on rats I used UV to sterilize tiny tubing I used, and I never left it under the lights for less than an hour.

And in the US, the Lying media tell me us that UV doesn't kill the virus.

The World Health Organisation warns that the transition out of lockdown will be a complex and uncertain phase. “Challenges and circumstances vary from country to country and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.”
While many European countries wish to return the economy to its normal state, “it’s important to be clear that this will be a gradual process, requiring strict monitoring and a possible reintroduction of measures should there be a new increase in cases,” commented Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe.

That spray disinfectant, it that a good idea, in the kids face. If it is a disinfectant, that is unhealthy for the kid.
he's communist chinese so it really doesn't matter. It's steam which kills germs
Load More Replies...As cute as this is, it's pointless for combating SARS-CoV-2, which spreads primarily by the massive amount of viruses being spit out into the air when infectees breathe and talk.
Currently in Shanghai. School not started yet for kindergarden and 1st to 3rd grader. They just measure temperature and give out hand sanitizer... But some school do ask every family to fill a form of where the family member went and temperature in the morning.
They should probably switch to the sanitizer mats that have the rubber pegs and sanitizing fluid so it actually scrubs the shoe as you walk across them. We had them at the food production facility I worked at.
wait so he's gone into class with wet clothes? Hope its warm inside.

Great. Put more people out of work. If you are that worried, please stay home, it is our choice,
Meanwhile in the US, President Trump has introduced the guidelines for Opening Up America Again, which is a 3-phase reopening approach based on advice from health experts. The guidelines emphasize maintaining good personal hygiene, developing policies to ensure social distancing, testing, and contact tracing throughout all 3 phases.
Phase 1 mostly includes the current lockdown measures, but says that large venues “can operate under strict physical distancing protocols.” Phase 2 allows non-essential travel to resume. Phase 3 suggests that the states that are still detecting a downward trend in coronavirus cases could allow “public interactions.” Visits to hospitals and care homes could then be resumed. Bars would be allowed to increase their room capacity. The full guidelines can be read here.
Bar In Germany Installed A Spit Guard Between Patrons And Employees
Actually, those things are currently in taxis, supermarkets, pharmacys, doctors offices..... Its not only bars.
In Germany, you have those glass thingies and you have to wear a mask. Its not either or. Its both, or you are asked to leave.

UV Sanitizer That Gym-Goers Can Use To Clean Their Phones
Who takes their phone into the gym part anyway? Am I the only one who turns their phone off and leaves it upstairs in their locker?
I haven't been to a gym in years but I wouldn't leave my phone in my locker. It can get easily stolen. My gym had signs warning about that. I don't know how people break into lockers during the daytime but they do.

As a high school teacher, this picture of disciplined students leaves me dreamy (and a bit frightened too actually...)
Rather be home schooled than have my child suffer through 8 hours of this uncomfortable daily regiment. How can this be an ideal learning environment? Plus this is clearly a staged photo. No books, pens, computers. All wearing exactly the same clothes, sitting exactly the same posed way. Stupid.
Thats kinda creepy though. Looks too much like a work cubicle in those soul destroying IT companies.
I agree. Just let kids stay home and do video meetings until people feel safe breathing in the same room.

Absolutely useless, for the same reason, that you don't measure a fever on the forehead. All you are measuring is skin temperature.

Barbers Wear Full-Body Protective Suits While Cutting People's Hair In Bangladesh
Unless they're changing that get up between customers it's not going to stop the spread of disease.
Same as in hospitals, POE is worn to protect the STAFF from carriers of the virus, especially the asymptomatic ones.
Load More Replies...This types of mask really only work when ALL people near each other wear them.
Oops. I didn't finish the explanation. The mask you wear makes it less likely you'll spray the virus onto other people. If someone else isn't wearing a mask and sneezes in front of you, you breathe in whatever they sneeze out. Or if you're in an enclosed room, airplane or the like, the droplets recirculate through the air.
Load More Replies...This would only work for the customers if they are changing between each customer. Yeah, it keeps the barbers safe, but not the customers.

Pointless and creates a false sense of safety. Far from everyone infected develops symptoms, even when they do, the symptoms do not necessarily include fever, and people who are going to develop symptoms can infect others at least a couple of days before the illness breaks out.
I agree. Pointless. People can infect other people for 2 weeks before symptoms show. And some infected people never develop symptoms but can still make other people sick. And I heard someone theorized that 1 infected person infects 2 people on average per day. In a mall I bet it would spread faster. But. Say it's 2 new infections a day from the 1st infected person. So at the end of day 1, you would have 3 total people sick. On day 2, you have 9 sick. Day 3: 27. Day 4: 81. Day 5: 243. Etc. If even 1 person in the world is infected, this thing will keep spreading. I say, if people feel unsafe and want to stay home, they should be supported in that. If people feel it's fine to go back to normal life, they shouldn't be punished. Let people choose and experience the natural consequences for better or worse. Let people live how they want to.

Austrian Supermarket Taking Precautions
First the customer gets his hands sentizised, then he gets a mask (right picture) only with mask and sentizised hands you are allowed to go to a supermarket in Austria!
Store workers who ask customers to put on masks are being shot and killed here in crazy America by people who are indignant about putting on masks... Crazy.

I was surprised that nothing has changed the first time I went out after six weeks. There are stickers on the floors but some people just forget, I did and I’ve been extremely fearful of catching covid19. People get complacent, I really didn’t think I would, but I have.
I wish every supermarket did this. At least require the hand sanitizer before shopping.
this would still be the simplest, best way to ensure safety...but NOBODY LISTENS...just because it SEEMS like we're out of the woods does not MEAN we are!!!!
I can’t even tell what they are doing. The customer doesn’t have a mask. There’s no barrier between them. What’s different?
They sanitize the hand then give out mask its safer to do it like this then just leaving the people to fend for themselves.ffs people needed to be taught to wash their hands. Do i need to explain anything more?

McDonald's In Beijing. Temperature Check And Name / Phone Registration Inside Door. All Staff, Including At The Visible Open Kitchen, Wear Masks. Temperature Of Staff Listed On Takeout Items
I think it's not registering name... In China now it's common to have your last 14 days whereabout checked upon entering a place. They do it by scanning QR code and checking the phone number used. It's the new normal. Either you do it or you don't get in.
Fake name and phone number it is, then! Although in China that is perhaps not an option ...
They lost me at "temperature of staff." That's private medical info. If they were sick, they wouldn't be at work.

Gloves give you the idea you're being safe, but you're actually not. Contamination from gloves to other surfaces goes pretty quick and easy. And most important, it doesn't stop people from touching their face. It's better not using them, but washing or desinfecting your hands regularly.

The Best Buys down here in FL set up a register outside so you can either do your purchase on your phone and they bring it up to your car or you can walk up and show them what you want from the ad and a runner goes and gets it and they ring it up for you
Yes, and people are body to body at the oceans, lakes and beaches in America. Glad we're so concerned about each other.
Most of these efforts are as effective as carrying a posey for preventing spreading disease. They make people feel safe when they are not safe, thus increasing their disease-spreading activities.
The only thing I agree with is taking the temp before people entering a building, especially a school, and having hand washing stations. Other than that, the rest are a complete waste of time and money. I think every school should take the children’s temperature. I can’t even tell you how many times I have seen kids with high fevers enter the school building because of irresponsible parents.
There is a movie that came out in 09 called Surrogates, All of this stuff just makes me wonder when something like that would be the next step. Just thinking.
