After months of misery, cabin fever, sheer boredom, and the surprising allure of staying in, the world is slowly returning to normal. With Germany, Finland, Austria, Italy, Spain, and more European countries easing their quarantine restrictions, the end feels closer than ever.
But don’t be fooled. Nobody is out and about doing what they please. There’re many protective measures implemented to make sure everyone is protected. From hand-sanitizing stations and glass partitions in the gyms to robots measuring body temperature, these countries know it’s better safe than sorry. Meanwhile in the US, President Trump has introduced the guidelines for Opening Up America Again, which is a 3-phase reopening approach based on advice from health experts. The guidelines emphasize maintaining good personal hygiene, developing policies to ensure social distancing, testing, and contact tracing throughout all 3 phases.
Phase 1 mostly includes the current lockdown measures, but says that large venues “can operate under strict physical distancing protocols.” Phase 2 allows non-essential travel to resume. Phase 3 suggests that the states that are still detecting a downward trend in coronavirus cases could allow “public interactions.” Visits to hospitals and care homes could then be resumed. Pointless and creates a false sense of safety. Far from everyone infected develops symptoms, even when they do, the symptoms do not necessarily include fever, and people who are going to develop symptoms can infect others at least a couple of days before the illness breaks out.

I think it's not registering name... In China now it's common to have your last 14 days whereabout checked upon entering a place. They do it by scanning QR code and checking the phone number used. It's the new normal. Either you do it or you don't get in.

I think looking at this series in a few years will be very odd. Many of these measurements seem rather security theater than evidences by medical research.

The Best Buys down here in FL set up a register outside so you can either do your purchase on your phone and they bring it up to your car or you can walk up and show them what you want from the ad and a runner goes and gets it and they ring it up for you

Most of these efforts are as effective as carrying a posey for preventing spreading disease. They make people feel safe when they are not safe, thus increasing their disease-spreading activities.

The only thing I agree with is taking the temp before people entering a building, especially a school, and having hand washing stations. Other than that, the rest are a complete waste of time and money. I think every school should take the children’s temperature. I can’t even tell you how many times I have seen kids with high fevers enter the school building because of irresponsible parents.

The other problem with these measures is no one has done enough research they are too busy working for a cure so they don't spend the time researching how it spreads........Here in the US trump is just trying to get us to drink disinfectant
