I am Aleksandr, I am 27 years old. I used to be a Deck Officer on oil tankers. Six years ago I got interested in butterflies. I wanted to make a special gift for my girlfriend and decided to grow a butterfly myself. I have built an insectarium at home, ordered pupa and grown my first butterfly. Surprisingly, it was not too hard.
Butterflies don’t live very long, some of them mere hours, and after death their beauty is gone forever. In order to preserve their stunning colors I started making framed butterflies. I have quit my job on tankers and my favorite hobby is my work under the Pinwings brand.
