Porsche is giving a throwback party to the enthusiasts of Porsche. It is holding an event at Monterey car week. The name of this project is known as “Project Gold”. There will be a unique car of Porsche that will be launched at this event. The inspiration for the car is taken from the Porsche 993 generation. While giving a first look at the car you would assume that it’s the same old car Porsche 993 but in actuality, it’s not.

The major change brought by Porsche is of the chassis which isn’t of the 993 generation. The 911 turbo engine intakes were difficult to install in the car made for the “Project Gold”. This is why the intakes were installed in it manually. To resize these intakes there was a team which worked on 993 production line and was assigned to resize the intakes. The pistons were replaced with the lightest components possible. The 6-speed manual transmission and the engine were kept the same.

Whereas the shock absorbers and the suspensions saw an upgrade. The ultra-modern shocks were used in this Porsche but placed in the same casing. The essence of the 993 generation is maintained along with the latest technology in this car.

The interior is the place on which the real efforts were executed. The combination of the Porsche 911 series and 993 is what the interior is and how you should expect it to be. The parts of the interior which are of the premium level were picked and were instilled in this car and few of the ideas were also taken from the Porsche 993 generation. This combination of the interior of both the cars has made the car outstanding. The seats used in the car are custom made leather seats and are exclusive.

When it comes to the headliner, the team needed something different. This is why they chose to be as close as Porsche 1998. It is near to impossibility that Porsche would announce another project like this because there isn’t any other similar production chassis available.

This car would be the one and only and its owner could pretentiously claim the exclusivity of the car. On the big event of Porsche’s 70th anniversary this car will be sold in an auction. The date announced for this is the 27th of October. The proceeds will completely be gone to the charity.
