My work explores the value of color as a physical sensation, as well as it’s a correlation with the cultural, subjective, private, and non-transferable character of the chromatic experience. In my practice color assumes a mystical, memorial, symbolic, and spiritual charge.

PIEL is an ongoing series that explores the body as a plastic organism with diverse material textures.

By means of chromatic quality and the mixture of color, the body shape is deconstructed, leaving only a material trace, a formal reinterpretation of bodily forms, and its fluid characteristics.

PIEL involves visual experimentation, color analysis, through a change in perception and textural and material deconstruction. The body of work explores the possibilities that range between the analog and digital realm, the uses of technology as a tool to enhance plastic and artisanal methods, and as a support to develop hybrid practices that increase and transform objects and materials in the digital plane.

The body is investigated analogically through photography and various graphic techniques, it is deconstructed through composition and formal abstraction and is transformed by means of chromatic edition and digital intervention. In plastic work, matter works as an archetype of the subjective reality, thus understanding digitalization as a possibility of transforming reality into new perspectives.
