If you mistake a person at the bar, it usually ends with a few awkward phrases and everyone going about their ways. But if you’re a driver who’s supposed to pick up a person from the airport, these mix ups can lead to serious consequences. In the case of redditor u/Pmccully/, it ended with police officers slamming his head to the ground. Accidental kidnapping is no joke, even if there aren’t any bad intentions.

While I am the least pro-cop person you will meet, I do consider myself a fair person. Assuming the cops got a kidnapping call, I don't think the situation was "escalated" too far with the exception of the driver's injury. I assume the driver didn't resist, so there should have been no violence, especially since they had control of the driver. But I do understand the circumstances. One of those comedy of errors that could have had tragic consequences. I hate to think what would have happened if the driver wasn't "white".

The American version is "no good deed goes unpunished". Equally true

"Slamming His Head On The Ground": it's unbelievable how violent are cops in USA and wow people is accustomed to it. If this happened in Europe, they would have been sued, nothing but toast together!

Depends where in Europe. I've heard some pretty bad things about the behaviour of cops in Italy and Greece. Probably not limited to those countries but they are the only ones I've visited recently.
