In the series “Beyond death, there are many lives”, Brazilian photographer Gabriel Bicho documented the celebration of Our Lady of the Good Death, one of the titles attributed to Mary, mother of Jesus, by catholic tradition, in the city of Cachoeira, Bahia.
“I went to the city for the celebration and stayed for seven days, recording all the activities related to Our Lady, from the first opening pilgrimage to the closing musical event, through the rites, masses and offerings, as well as the huge banquets served during lunch for participants and general public. It was undoubtedly one of the strongest experiences I have had over these nearly ten years working as a photographer.”
