Apparently, Pencil Scars Are A Thing And There Are More People Affected Then You Would Think

This is literally a tattoo. Pigment inserted in the deep layers of the skin with a sharp object.

I'm 71. Got mine in the 4th grade. Hadn't thought of it in years. It's very faint, but it's still in the palm of my hand. What a trip!

I have one on my left hand from when I was four and I tried to do that thing where you pretend the mechanical pencil is a syringe and 'inject' it in you. I went a little too fast.

I..... I have three of these on my hands. Being a child who loved to draw, write, and run was not a good combination. But it isn't really that noticeable.

in 8th grade during art/painting class this boy poked me from behind with his paintbrush. repeatedly. i was wearing new pullover i got from my grandma. so i got pissed and just reached/stabbed back when i fell the brush on my back again. bullseye. stabbed him into forearm. i didn't get in trouble and for the rest of the school he didn't bothered me anymore.

i used to have like 3 or 4 pieces of pencil led stuck in my hands and arm so i took a pocket knife and dug them out one of the pieces was almost a centimeter long after 30 mins i had dug all of them out and my tweeers were covered in blood but now i have cool little scars (I DONT RECOMMEND DOING THIS IT HURT LIKE A B***H IF I HAD F****D UP I EASILY COULD HAVE SLIT MY WRIST I WAS JUST A IDIOT 12 YEAR OLD SO DONT DO THIS)

I'm 66 and still have one on my right knee from 6th grade. Ruth Ann Barrett stabbed me with her pencil there because I was feeling up her leg. (Like many girls that age, she had just started wearing hose and I loved the feeling of a leg in hose. Since I'm bi, I guess it wouldn't have mattered whether it was a girl or boy wearing them.)

I know I have one but I've forgotten where at this point.

LOL, I love all the story sharing. My daughter got one in her finger last year, 4th grade. I will share this story with her. And before I hear any naysayers, she didnt show me until this year.

I HAVE ONE TOO! I thought I was the only one! I felt so silly. Like who else has a scar from a pencil?! Haha

I have one in the middle of my right thumb. I think i got it in kindergarten.

My brother has a pencil scar. When my sister and brother were little, my sister got a pencil, thinking it was the eraser side, and stabbed his wrist. It started bleeding a lot. Then my mom grabbed a pencil and started chasing my sister around, trying to do the same. This is what my brother and sister told me since I wasn't born at that time.

I thought I was the only one too! When I was 12 I sharpened my pencil and put it on my desk, and a few seconds later the boy next to me picked it up, and out of nowhere stabbed me in the hand! I still have the grey dot in the skin between my thumb and forefinger :(

I can't post my lead pencil scar because it's on the inner check of my butt. My sister purposefully put a sharpened pencil on my chair when I was 8 or 9 and I sat on it and it literally broke off in my... Yeah. Gotta love your older siblings.

I had one for years. A coworker said I should have a doctor look at it. Turned out I still had a piece of “lead” in it from 15 years earlier! Now I have a scar where it got cut open instead of a mole looking spot.

I had one on my thumb, but it faded away.

I was 10. I and my brother got into a fight, he forgot that he had a pencil in his hand when he took a defensive crouch, I stomped and got the tip impaled. Somehow the lead had moved sideways inside the skin while i tried to walk. I couldn't remove it on my own, went into minor OT.

Mine is in my Left palm...got it in 6th grade (in the late 1970's) when I smacked my hand on the table, yelling "I got it!!" When solving a tricky math problem. Yes, I grossed everyone out ... the pencil was stuck in my hand - had to be walked to the nurse's office because teacher was afraid I would faint when it was pulled out.

Yup kindergarten kid stabbed me in my hand been 11 years now

DAMN pencils are dangerous. Imma stay away from them now and stick to digital drawing 😕

In grade 7, I stabbed my crush with a pencil in the leg. (We sat side by side and he teased me a lot). 25 years later, after him becoming a widow, and myself divorced, both having kids..we have reunited and have created a beautiful blended family. In love with the one that has never left my thoughts since grade 7.

Second grade. I was seven & the boy that sat next to me jabbed at me with his freshly sharpened # 2 pencil. It bled, scabbed up & within two weeks when the scab came off the graphite was still imbeded above my left knee cap. 65 years later still have the black “dot”.

I have one in my rear from a boy I beat to the chalkboard !

Left hand in between the thumb and pointer. Tried to grab a pencil from deep within my pocket

I have one on the left side of my right kneecap. I got it from running with a pencil in my hand.

Man i really was surprised at how many people have pencils tips stuck in them, I sat on a pencil when i was 5 and now I have a pencil tip in my butt

I have one in my upper arm from the third grade (I was 8) when a girl sitting next to me got tired of my teasing her and stabbed me with her pencil. My own starter tattoo. Miss that sweetheart. 😆

I had a couple of these, and ground them out completely with a small stone attachment using a 12V hobbies drill, leaving no pencil lead at all, I had one in my lower lip (the natural pigment in the lip was not removed by making a small hole in the lip as I ground out the pencil lead), and one in my chest, both the results of 'stabbings' at school.

My 39-year-old brother-in-law has led in his upper right bicep from a friend stabbing him as they passed in the hallway in high school.

Amazing!! I dont even remember exactly how i got mine, was a quick movement dodging something and stabbed myself a bit below the left elbow protecting my face, the led came out about 6-8 months later, but the scar is still pretty vivid 12 years later!

I can't claim I did mine in grade school. I was an adult at work, and somehow managed to get myself in the hand. Thought I was the "only one" too!
