Hello ! My name is Yllya, I'm a french freelance illustrator and comic artist, and I'm the mother of a 3 years old little girl.
Last year, and somewhat by chance, I started a webcomic on Instagram about my family life. We were coming back home after daycare and we got stuck in the elevator of our building. I was panicked cause I'm a bit claustrophobic, but my daughter seems to think it was some kind of game, and my husband stayed stoic like he usually does. Later, when we finally could get out, I thought that it was a funny story and that I could turn it into a comic. I drew it, and posted it on Instagram and people seems to like it. A few weeks later, I draw another one after a conversation with my husband about our daughter's hair. And people liked it too. So started a webcomic.
Family and parenting are a source of infinite inspiration.
All comics are based on a real story with A LOT of caricatures. The fun fact is there is always somebody to take it at face value.
I'm having a lot of fun drawing this comic and I hope that you'll have a lot of fun too by reading it!

Omg that's how it is with my daughter! She hates junk food and all sweets. I'm always super excited for junk food and try to share with her, and she's just like "no." She definitely didn't get that from her parents lol
True. And also -- Me to four year old: "Can you carry this into the house?" *hand him a box of crackers* Four year old: "IT'S TOO HEAVY!"
I had this happen to ME once! I was feeding the pigeons down at the shore. All was quiet with the pigeons gently cooing away, so peaceful when I flock of seagulls flew in for the feast, loudly squawking and fighting over the bread crumbs! Too many at once and I felt like I was in that Hitchcock movie starring in the lead role!!
I found a bird eating a bird this morning, and, like the weirdo I am, I took notes on how it ate. but of course, I'm wanting to be a wildlife biologist when I'm older, so it's not too weird
In Hitchcock's film the attacking birds represent unresolved tensions and hostility in the underlying social order. In this one the implication regards parental neglect.
Sometimes the roles are reversed for the parents and sometimes it doesn't matter if it is a girl or a boy.
It never goes away .... especially not the zit that refuses to go away
Nice. Normally I don´t like those "everyday" comics, but this one I enjoyed. It was funny, smart and not over-cute.
Ads for "Hot Russian Singles"... really, Bored Panda? Is this a porn site now? It seems incongruous with the theme of the site, to put it mildly.
