In 1971, the border village of Hundarman Broq in the district of Kargil, became part of India after previously being part of Pakistan. Overnight, those who had stayed in the village became Indian citizens, with no way to cross the borders to their Pakistan families. To remember them, one man, Mohd Ilyas Ansari, has taken it upon himself to create the Museum of Memories, which remembers the villages through the objects they left behind.
