After 17 Years Nokia Is Re-Launching The 3310, World’s Most Beloved Phone
In the year 2000, Nokia has released the 3310, a phone that changed the whole mobile phone industry. And now, 17 years later, they are re-launching it!
According to the leak by Evan Blass, it will cost €59 (around $62) and will be revealed among Nokia’s new smartphones during the Mobile World Congress on February 26th. It remains to be seen whether we’ll get the exact same phone or it’s going to feature some new functionality.
The company’s legendary phone became user favorite and an internet meme for its ruggedness and seemingly endless battery life. But when other companies moved to touchscreens, Nokia’s struggle has started. Hopefully, Nokia 3310 will put an end to it once again. (h/t: demilked)

Share on FacebookI still have my original Nokia from the year 2000! That phone NEVER dropped a call.
When my wife gave birth to our son in 2000, I sat in the waiting room, playing snake for six hours to calm me down... Nokia saved my fingernails...
Load More Replies...Still using mine once in a while if my socalled smartphone dies again or has a split screen. The Nokia is 16 years old, ans while battery life isnt too good anymore)(1day) quality of speech is way better than and smartphones i ever owned.
Is it the same phone number? If in case of emergency I can swap SIM card, then score!

only a shame cellphones aren't used for calling anymore. Maybe it's better to let the memory intact.
So true. I can't remember the last time I talked on my iPhone. LOL

This could be useful, I would consider getting one for work purposes. The problem with a smart phone is that clients think you should be available 24/7 to respond to emails and they get upset when jou don't. This could remove that particular issue
or speak with them that you've got certain working hours and the rest of the day is time for your life and sleep

Nokia 3310 relaunch will not affect the interest of the people's because now a day some great feature phones available in the market with extraordinary quality. AGM M1 one of the great feature phones in the market with 3G support, IP68 certified (water, dust, drop proof ), camera, massive battery capacity, huge storage and etc.
Loved my phone had it for eight years now I have to change stupid smart phones every two because they all start to suck after 18 months.
I’m looking for real nokia 3310 relaunch date. Do you have any real date of it? Is it real http://newyearideas.com/nokia-3310-relaunch
Life is so wonderful and mysterious and this is what gets people excited. This will end up in a landfill with the rest of the junk we've made
I have a 6" smart phone, and I never use for anything but a phone and a Bluetooth music player. Everything else is just wasted. My old Nokia(AT&T) still does all that, and I've been thinking about going back to simplicity again. I really have no use for smart phones. They're also dangerous while trying to chew gum and walk at the same time.
OMG lol how can I hurt your feelings with that? xD
Load More Replies...I had mine thrown halfway across the quad by an angry man who's tooth I misplaced while being intoxicated. Phone still worked! When I found it. LoL

Seriously? Aside from the nostalgia, I wouldn't waste 20.00 on this outdated pos.
Mine still worked for 15 years, best phone i ever had! I'm so buying one when it comes out!
recently found my old Nokia 5510, in the inside is the same as 3310, only it has a full keyboard. Lot of good memories with the green display. Great thing. You can TALK and texting. Life is much more simple and you know who is your real friend.
Please can we have this phone in the US as well? I need this phone... my precious phone!! Hey even if you drop the phone and a car run over it, let the screen break, it will still work. This is the strongest phone in the world... No hacking and no GUI issues
I still a vast collection of Nokia phones running Symbian OS :) I really Wish that Nokia start supporting My Nokia E90 Communicator again and I can get apps for it :)
I’m looking for real nokia 3310 relaunch date. Do you have any real date of it?
I love this phone it would get service when all my other people's phones would not get service they would bury my phone
All these smartphone is good but some body make one that can have better reception and pick up better signal?????????? Hello can you hear me now
Well, here with see another continuation of this current obsession with nostalgia! People are scared of the future so want 2 go back 2 past.
I had an 3310 phone and a couple more different brands around that time. This one was NOT the best of them, not the cleanest, not the sturdiest, not even good looking. To this day I don't know who and why started the 3310 hype, it's absurd. The other thing...60$ for an obsolete and ugly piece of tech? The sad part is that many people will buy it, like like that disaster Punkt. that costs $295 ... If it was for collection or something like that - o.k. but this is truly r******d.
Would gladly give up my smartphone for one of these bad boys. Best phone I ever owned
He would start to cry, hug the phone and quietly whisper "I'm sorry".
