This image was shot during my first trip alone into the Alaskan Bush. It speaks to me of all women who journey within, and also out into the vastness of the unknown.

I see the fragility and beauty of the earth’s vanishing wilderness. The health of the human soul and the planet is at the heart of my photography and paintings. I have a love of all things wild and have lived in the mountains of Arizona, California, Idaho and Alaska; including summers living in a remote bush cabin in the Brooks Range of Alaska. The Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan is now my home as I explore the wonders of Lake Superior.
