Syria always will stay as a special destination for me, cause It was the first country where I first time traveled as a solo female backpacker earlier in 2010. I was fascinated by its culture, heritage, and amazing people. Before going to Syria I really did not have any idea what to expect from this trip. I just wanted to meet the Sunrise in Palmyra and visit the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. Both places just left me speechless.
Since that time I visited so many world heritage sights, I met sunrises in different parts of the world, but meeting the Sunrise at Palmyra ruins always will be my personal favorite travel memories. It was just outstanding experience.
