I Designed A Lamp With A Surprising Effect

My name is Omer Menashriand I’m a product designer who has a desire for lighting products. I am fascinated with how light can be manipulated, its elements and strengths, and I decided that I wanted to design a lamp with a surprising effect.

I started working on a series of lamps, and experimented in order to see how I can “draw” and “capture” light, and if I can “compress” and “expand” it. The idea came from watching the way a syringe works, and then I replaced the liquid with light, which brought exactly what I was looking for, a surprising result to the table, and then Dimo was born.
