My Journey Into The Mysteries Of The Universe…with Everyday Objects!

“Astronauts are like gladiators, in that they are sent on a death mission. They fly planes that have never been flown before, eject themselves with parachutes only a split second before they open up and live in a hostile environment that has no food, no oxygen and no water, for long periods of time.”
This is my journey towards the infinite: the solar system, swirling planets and density waves. Human possessions become the creative source for this voyage. Steel objects represent the coldness of feeling within the void. Feathers account for the weightlessness of almost zero gravity.
Let me explore the vast, limitless universe!
Mixed media in perspex box. Composed of: Styrofoam, feathers, glowing planets, scourers, kitchen hooks, needles, hair bands, pins, paint, spray paint. Dimensions: W:62 x H:84.5 x D:19 cm.
