During his first days alive, Fridolin didn't have the start a little mouse could wish for. Before he was even able to open his eyes, he and his mother found themselves in the mouth of a cat. While his beloved Mum did not survive the attack, the little guy got dropped by the cat and landed on the floor. Fortunately, a kid witnessed what happened and rescued Fridolin. Since that day, everything changed. Some lovely humans became a new family for the little mouse and spoiled him with a hot-water bottle and special milk while giving him a new home. Fridolin grew fast and made the best of his second chance at life.
I was allowed to take photos of him two times. Once, before he was even able to open his eyes and the second time, when he had already grown a little bit.
Sometimes life gives us a new chance and Fridolin shows that it is up to us how we use it.
Be like Fridolin: Enjoy the little things in life and take some time to smell the flowers.

I really like the message of your story! And I'm so glad that he could be saved and started a new life. Also your photos are great <3 Love them!
Sooo....basically you took a bunch of pics of ananemic mouse climbing on flowers. Maybe good for one shot but couldn't you find a little tuxedo or something?
Fridolin, I hope you have a long, happy, and pampered life. Baby, you rock!
I wish the people who post these articles would give their locations. Where are you? City or village? What kind of mouse is that? I wanna know!

My cat read this, harrumphed and declared that one doesn’t give names to snack food, then asked me to pass the mustard. He wasn’t impressed when I told him that not all rodents are his to snack on, then gave him a Sheba treat.
Thank you so very much for sharing! Stunning photography and the cutest little mouse!! I hope you don't mind me saving some of them to use as wallpaper, they are lovely!!
Hannah, your photos are fabulous, you are enjoying nature as I do with photos, although I am an amateur, I am in love with nature, as you are, thanks for sharing, especially the mouse !!!
All babies are cute, even rats. That doesn't necessarily mean we want them everywhere. These photos are stunning and they reminded me of when I somestimes stood still close to the garbage bins when there was a terrible rat infestation just to watch the young ones come out and play in the wild plants and grasses. They were adorable! Not even the neighbouhood cats dared to go after the adults. Shudder.
If people didn't kill their natural enemies there wouldn't be such a problem. Are there any snakes where the rats live. Of course not. Stupid scared people killed them and now you have a rat problem. People keep thinking this is their planet. It's not.
Load More Replies...It's sad to think how Aisans like to eat baby mice alive! Called the 3 squeaks.. Because they squeak when you pick them up, once again when dipped in sauce then once more when you chew them up. We live in a s****y world.
OMG I LOVE THESE!!! pretty sure the cat will not starve
It's a mouse. Just kill it. Sorry to you sensitive types but if his brother ran in your house you'd be screaming and demanding someone set traps.
Gerry. Don't be a bully human. Nice don't deserve to die just because they are mice. They have important jobs to perform in the wild.
Load More Replies...Is there a photo-series for the cat (or cats) who didn’t have food because this mouse survived?? I mean...it’s nature. Animals kill other animals.
Well-fed house cats notoriously kill mice, birds and other small animals not for food but just for the thrill of the chase. But I'm sure you knew that.
Load More Replies...Too many humans on this planet anyway. Nature fighting to cull us! Let the mouse have its day! Hahaha
