Fictional Landscapes are a series of computational paintings produced by the emerging artist Matteo Mauro that aim to reinvent traditional techniques of landscape painting. The artist’s process consist of programming a machine that paints over time through the accumulation of lines. These lines, inscribed by pixels in motion, evolve and interact accordingly to rules of natural dynamism and its morphogenic growth. The results are progressive paintings of abstract details and fictional landscapes.
