Link Between A Natural Monument And The Human Footprint
This photographic project consists of my attempt to capture all the natural characteristics of this space, and its full potential at various levels. It is considered a Natural Monument, of national and international importance, due to the fact that it has Jurassic outcrops in its area.
Endowed with unique natural beauty, “Cabo Mondego” establishes unique connections at a landscape level with the elements that converge there (mountains, sea, cliffs).
However, this area suffered a high level of wear from several industries (coal, hydraulic lime) that explored the place for two centuries.
This being my hometown, where I grew up and currently reside, I felt obliged to carry out this project, in order to share the place and bring some awareness about this site of high historical, educational and cultural importance.
