Two weeks ago I had a task to look after a 4 years old Kid, for two hours only. So I went with the little one to a playground in the neighborhood. And she has shown me what I almost forget – how great is to be a child. I almost forget, how does it feel like to push off with my feet and swing back and forth for as long as possible.

That gave me an idea – I decided to install a hammock chair in my living room. It is good for relaxation but for the concentration too.

The hammock stand you can see in the picture below was my DIY project.

But why the swinging makes us happy?

It produces a state that oscillates between weightlessness and gravitation. Its movement is a soft up and down and forwards and backward, while the swinging movement itself varies between smooth rocking and reckless swaying.

Just try it!
