I dont have the ‘before’ pic of Teddy but I wanted to share this to encourage people to rescue, adopt and dont be afraid to take on a senior. Abandoned by his family{they simply moved and left him with some food and water} he wound up in a shelter with such a bad chronic eye infection they were planning to remove the eyeballs and sew his lids shut. His sockets were just twin black holes filled with pus and goo.Couldnt let that happen…so I took home this 9 year old guy and, away from the germs in the shelter{he was sleeping in his own litterbox cause the cage was so small} and some top notch antibiotics those eyes came back gleaming. His personality shines through the pic…ultimate love bug.

Share on FacebookI got my reward, he is the best pal you could imagine. He had never been neutered which is why he was such a large, well developed cat..of course we had him done and I always think that its a shame this is one cat that couldnt have been bred to create a special strain of hyper social friendly kittens...I swear if he had thumbs he would mix me a martini after work. Of course neutering cats is the most important thing you can do as a responsible owner but this cat truly has special genes. He comes when I call, is friendly to everyone {but Very friendly to me}follows me from room to room, gives me baths and head bonks and lovingly watches me on the toilet, which no one else wants to, I can tell you that!!! Its really in the genes...you can trat a cat like a princess from birth and still get a cold aloof princess, but this guys ancestors were certainly among the ones who walked into the hut one day and said "I think Ill stick around one day, and not just for the foo
