Jogger’s Fight With Sex Attacker Gets Recorded On Fitness Tracker; Attacker’s Face Looks Worse Than Victim’s
Seattle jogger Kelly Herron was having an ordinary run through Golden Gardens Park last week when she was attacked in a public washroom, a nightmare that most only ever imagine. After a terrifying struggle, she fended off the attacker, and the GPS trail her fitness tracker recorded shows the true extent of her ordeal.
The assailant, a registered sex offender, was hit by an unexpected turn of events when Kelly overpowered him and even managed to lock him inside a stall until police arrived. “Not today, motherf***er,” she screamed at him, according to ABC News. Kelly had taken a self-defense class only a few weeks before the incident, and “utilized all of it.”
Kelly described the experience in a harrowing Instagram post, in which she also shared the movements her fitness tracker traced using GPS during the fight. “My face is stitched, my body is bruised, but my spirit is intact,” she wrote in the same post. This creep picked the wrong jogger to mess with, and we’re glad to see that Kelly walked away more alive than ever.

#dontbeavictim ?? I'm glad she beat the s**t out of him, but I also feel like "don't be a victim" moves the blame away from the perpetrator and over to the victim. Self defense is important, but if you cannot defend yourself, that doesn't mean that you choose to be a victim.

hahahaha, OMG, she's AWESOME!!! Look at his effed up face!!! LOL That's why I always advice my friends to go and take Krav Maga or Systema defence class :)

I often see women running sometimes not always in the best areas, and I just always hope they get to their destination safe. I wonder how many men, take off for a good run, and fear for their safety.

Amanda, this is why it is always a good thing to care a small canister of mace, for defense against both two, and four, legged predators. Even men should carry it against the beasts.
