“Napule è … mille culure” texile-artist Maristella De Giuseppe & tailor Angela Barone

I want to share with the Bored Panda the photos and videos of my texile-artist’s work named “Napule è … mille culure” is a handmade dress, that I made in a month and, that comes from the union of talent in the manufacere of the Neapolitan master sartore Angela Barone and my texile-art of silk painting, with the intention of narrating the Neapolitan sartorial excellence, synonymous with the Italian know-how in the world participating among the Sartori Senior Masters, on August 6th in the “Arte Sartoriale 2019” event 07 at the “World Fashion Show”, during the 38th Tailoring World Tailored Congress organized by the National Academy of Sartori from 03/07 August 2019 in Verona at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia.
The name “Napule è mille culure” we have given to our dress, is the title of a beautiful song by a famous Neapolitan singer, which is a symbol of Naples, called Pino Daniele; the title is written in Neapolitan slang and means Naples is made of a thousand colors.

The evening dress is made up of a light blue powder organza shirt and a wide milky white silk mikado skirt, hand-sewn by master tailor Angela Barone, a member of the National Academy of Sartori.

Peculiarity of the dress is the pictorial representation of the Gulf of Naples seen from the Virgilian Park with the mention of the iconic “Pino virgiliano”, present in all the historical representations of Naples, enclosed by a symbolic ramage of leaves of Laurus nobilis, which I designed and hand-painted, with watercolor technique on silk; I’m texile-artist for haute couture and interior design, expert in techniques for painting by hand on silk and fabric, learned in 37 years of study, painting it is his Zen ritual, while he paints on silk an alchemical process between color and fabric and a new space / time dimension comes to life.

My work is based on the experimentation, the study and the continuous research and the choice of natural materials and of first quality, the use of ancient techniques for the creation of handicrafts, of low environmental impact, all in respect of the ethical work and of the health of people and the enhancement of made in Italy craftsmanship through collaborations with the art masters of the Italian supply chains in the fashion, haute couture, artisan jewelry, interior design and sustainable architecture.
I am looking for fashion and design houses that have my same mission and vision and that want to involve me in collaborations as texile-artist.
