Someone Asked Twitter To Name A Badder B*tch Than Taylor Swift, Probably Did Not Expect A Reaction Like This
Taylor Swift is trying to rebrand herself from an "innocent girl who cries while writing love songs" to a "heartless tyrant who sits on a golden throne surrounded by snakes," but the internet isn't buying it. When @xnulz posted a still from Swift's music video "Look What You Made Me Do," asking people to "Name a badder bitch than Taylor Swift," they started an unstoppable storm of stories celebrating strong women throughout history.
From determined politicians and activists to artists and performers, these women have been pushing society to change for the better long before Taylor Swift dropped her album Reputation. Bored Panda has compiled some of the most hilarious and inspirational replies to the challenge. It didnt really happen like that, but there is no denying her bravery. After she shot the guy, and maybe got a couple more, the Nazis brought in a machine gun and murdered everyone in the undressing room. Her act was one of desperation, because she knew she was dead, unlike the others in the room. It was witnessed by a jewish survivor who spent the war shoving bodies into ovens. His testimony at Nuremberg gave her a place in history, but there was no hope that came of it, only sorrow.

My best friends grandmother immigrated from Poland, but she brought only one thing: her pet reindeer. She survived 45 years of living in refrigerators, boxes, and garbage bins with only her reindeer. Now, she hates her entire family and when her children are in the room, she pretends that she can not speak English. Ella, my best friend, is the only one besides her grandmother that can speak Polish, so her grandmother will say something like,"I wanna f*****g die. I hate them all." And Ella will laugh. All survived. My aunt, Meng Phuon, a widower with 3 little children in a Khmer Rouge camp in 1980s, was forced to carry bombs up the mountain by truck loads while her team lost all their strength and couldn't continue, she finished it all by herself because she wanted to go home to her hungry children. They always fought for rice and water there, after waiting for hours to get the little water left in the well, she pushed her way to the well and people on both sides fell over. She did the same with the rice truck and walked away with a sack of 100kg on her back. Her children survived because of her and they came back to Cambodia. She never remarried. She used to climbed the mountain to cut trees and brought them home to build her house. Once there were 4 men wanted to try her strength while she was drunk, she fought back and sent them to the hospital with broken bones.

I'm disappointed this has so many upvotes. One of the top criticisms of Trump is that he resorts to bullying and name-calling. How is calling HIM names show that we're above such tactics? In my opinion this was a wasted opportunity to express real concerns in favor of a nice chuckle.

As well as Grace O'Malley an Irish Piratess who held off the English, got Queen Elizabeth to side with her against the Queen's own captain, robbed and stole many English ships with her men, married twice, taking her second husband's fort as collateral as she declared divorce to him. Had a lover- a Spanish sailor from the Armada when it broke apart on the Irish shores, had a child on board ship and then got up and led her men to victory when they were losing as she was giving birth. She died peacefully at a late age too :)

As an Irish woman I completely agree with you Muiscon, Mary Robinson made her name by campaigning tirelessly in the 70s for women's rights and in the 80s for the right to abortion. I know this as a fact because my mother worked with her. We have had referenda about abortion. And the politicians have done their job by putting it forward. I am ashamed to say no one is to blame but the voters of Ireland. It was the voters of Ireland that said no.

Boudica did NOT slaughter 80,000 Romans. She also didn't raise an arm of 100,000. She had an army which was full of family groups (3-5 women and children for every male soldier). It was HER people which were slaughtered by the Romans. The only people she killed were her own (merchants who traded with the Romans), and a few hundred soldiers. She was still in Britain.

There is a notable absence of female names in the history books. Because those books were generally written by men. I am very grateful things are (gradually) changing, but I think so many of these women deserve to have posthumous statues raised for them. Some female scientists have been given posthumous nobel prizes, and that is a wonderful thing too (would have been better if it had been during their lives, but hopefully those dark days are past now) but all these unsung heroines need to be acknowledged too.

Can everyone stop with the Taylor Swift bashing. Just because one of her fans got cocky doesn't mean we all should put her down. Everyone single one of the ladies here is undoubtedly badass and heroic, but do we have to put down another woman to emphasise their heroism?? It's 2023, we are better than this. Also, what's wrong with having 6 producers on an album? It's a great album and it's quite well-known that Taylor has written most of her songs. In fact, that's the reason she is able to re-record her albums in order to own their masters.

Wow. I made this post totally off the cuff. Now that this has gone super viral, I'm a little embarrassed that I just picked another entertainer when other people are naming concentration camp survivors, Resistance fighters, and women who stood up to truly terrible forces in their lives. Also, for what it's worth, I didn't mean this to be as hostile to Taylor Swift as it sounds. She has actually done some really kind things for young fans with her fame, has personally kicked the a*s of sexual harassers and stalkers in court, and has done lots of things that might in fact earn her Badass certification. I was just annoyed that despite all that, the reason we're supposed to think she's badass is because her team of stylists invented a new makeup look. Call her a badass for her talent or her deeds, if you like. But never for the shallow achievement of letting somebody do your makeup a little differently.

My Great Grandma Bette. Her family moved to the US from England when she was a little girl. She ran away from home at 12 to escape her abusive, alcoholic father. She worked as a chamber maid until she married my Great Grandad. She bought their first house in cash; she savedvery cent she had every earned. She and her husband attended and graduated seminary together, even though she never graduated high school. When my Great Grandad went to work on the railroads, she learned how shoot, and wore a .45 on her apron to protect herself and two daughters from transients who'd ride the rails. Among my Great Grandma's many colorful stories, she once fought off two muggers with a hat pin. ❤️

I loved reading about all these amazing women. The women today face different battles (thank goodness) but without those in history we would be in a very different situation. I'm sure Taylor has had her own battles but to me, she's just a performer. There are everyday heroes out there that face a lot more than her. So thank your EMT's, nurses, doctors, police, and firefighters (the list could go on) who all include women in their ranks. I believe today's society is very backwards.

She also completed her mission, had a giant stick for knocking on the windows of the men from her fathers militia she was trying to get together. She also was the oldest of I think 4+ kids. She was pretty cool but no one ever really talks about her
