I decided to set off on this adventure to prove the following points:

1. You can be a solo female whatever-you-want-to-be:

–> most of the world will NOT harm NOR kill you. You can be in a tricky situation (have no money, for example) and MOST people will help you.

So don’t be afraid to leave your house and talk to strangers!

2. You can do whatever-you-want-to-do regardless of your physical condition and other disabilities:

–> I am doing this trip after almost 3-years of illness, that has completely shattered my health, my fitness, my personal and professional life and resulted in my putting on 80 pounds. But I am doing it nevertheless: if I can’t climb the hills, I just walk ’em! I am also dragging a breathing machine with me (CPAP) that I need to sleep with, so if I can do it: ANYONE CAN!!!

3. You don’t have to be rich to realise your dreams:

–> I am doing this adventure moneyless, living off of both people’s wastefulness (FYI: food waste in this country can feed a nation) and generosity. My bike is an old 100-dollar-worth basic rig that takes me from point A to point B and which does not even have enough gears to take me over the (small) hills, but, hey, what the heck: I am making do with what I have and SO CAN ANYONE!!!

I used to put off things for later for many many years: until I would be more beautiful, richer, fitter and would have the best gear… And then I fell sick. My life stopped and I got very close to ending it for good.

So the message I want to get across is:

NO MORE PUTTING THINGS OFF!!!

LIVE YOUR LIFE AND LIVE YOUR DREAMS! With what you have and AGAINST THE ODDS!!!
