After Losing My Mum To Mnd (Als) I Began Writing Songs For Kids And Families Dealing With Grief. “I Will Remember” Was The First Off A New Album Called Home.
As a kids songwriter, I felt there was a huge need for songs that were simple and beautiful that would allow children and families to express their feelings and emotions in a time of grief.
After losing my mum to MND (ALS), and sharing loss of loved ones with family and close friends, this song was part of the grieving process.
“I will Remember” is a song about all the simple and lovely things we remember about the people we love but who are no longer with us – and a hope that we can look forward to seeing them again one day.
This song is from a music project called “HOME” which is an album full of songs of hope and comfort for kids and families living through grief and loss.
This is a self-funded project – and a huge step for us – but something we felt was needed. we have been so overwhelmed by the response we have had from people around the world.
