‘Transcendence’ is a series of paper sculptures that serve as gateways to higher dimensions. It uses architecture with geometry and transcends into mystical places that have intrigued men for ages. Places beyond our realm of life, of inner peace and bliss, of secrets and buried treasures that unfold with the prismatic union of shapes and colors.
The intricate arches are the point of ingress, each shaped differently and giving a glimpse of what lies beyond. The designs set the stage for light and shadow to weave dramatic scenes that entice the viewer to step closer and be teleported to mesmerizing dimensions. The artworks are titled with an apt idiom leaving the hidden meaning open to interpretation. Each artwork takes over 225 hours in designing and making with a high level of precision required for everything to align correctly.
