My girlfriend, Casey, and I always joke around about the way we first met (waiters at AppleBee’s) being hilariously not romantic in any way. Nonetheless, we love our story either way! Being a digital artist, I do my best to keep my gifts unique. On my girlfriend’s birthday last year, I decided to transform our story into a retro video game animation. Using The Legend of Zelda as my main inspiration, I took my first day on the job and turned it into the animated first chapter of our beautiful relationship. I hope to continue the project and turn more of our story into animated shorts.

I created this entirely in Photoshop, it took me about a month working on it in secret.
