From September 2015 to February 2016 I stayed in Italy as an exchange student. Though I made a lot of unique trips through this amazing country, the city where I lived amazed the most – Bergamo.

Bergamo is located in the north of Italy near Milan and is, therefore, often overseen by travellers. Bergamo mainly consists of two parts – the Città Alta (Upper city) and the Città Bassa (Lower city). The upper city is stil surrounded by high walls the Venetians built several centuries ago.

I hope my pictures can convince you to go to Bergamo.
