I’ve been taking pictures of Dolls for over a decade – documenting their hidden side.
Dolls are interesting in their innocent appearance, and using them to create scenes of horror and gore makes the final pictures even more impactful.
The work varies a lot between horror and gore, and some thoughtful editorial images, including some art pieces based on my travels through Japan, as well as Theatre/Dance production companies.
I use a lot of small details and hidden objects to really encourage viewers to look deeper into each image, and see everything that’s there.
The work can be shocking, can be offensive, and is not suitable for all audience – but the purpose is to make you smile, and most importantly, make you think.
