Born in Beijing, I’ve witnessed the unbelievably rapid development of Beijing Subway system. Since Beijing’s bidding for the Olympics in 2001, 15 more new lines have been built so far. As I recalled, there are only two lines when I was a kid. Everything seemed so simple and it wasn’t so crowded as it is right now. The more lines, the more people, I guess.

Personally, I hate taking the subways for its crowdedness and thinness of air. However, I have to take them to escape the rush hour from time to time. Instead of playing with my cellphone, I prefer to observe other people on the way and shoot some photos when possible.
