I run a small animal rescue and have many pets myself... I can have up to two dozen animals in my house on any given day. Yes, it is a lot of work, but there is nothing like life on my farm!
I hope you enjoy the pictures, and remember that there are many places that need volunteers. I’d highly recommend you find somewhere like this near you! The work is hard, but there are so many cute faces you see every day!

Cutest bun bun!! I have a Flemish Giant!! He lives in our home just like any other house pet! We love him to pieces!!
I see that exposed electric outlet, please fix it as a little critter could be hurt !!!
He was inside a closed tub unless being fed. cottontails are very high stress and need to be in an enclosed area at all times, so he never had any access to the outlet.
Load More Replies...One day I found a trapped hummer, before I released it it was a thrill to hold !!!
Yeah, no kidding! This little male ruby throated was trapped in a greenhouse.
Load More Replies...Delilah hates being outside, it freaks her out (all the noise and stuff). She loves to talk to the other birds through the window, though!
Load More Replies...Same species, different baby :)
Load More Replies...If this is a rescue, could mean that someone had it, and let it go where it would not survive !!!
I do pet sitting as well to help cover the rescue costs. This is Nala, luckily her owners were just on vacation. The little hamster somewhere down this list would of had that fate, though. Luckily I convinced the owner to give her to me instead of release!
Load More Replies...If someone wants to rescue animals, they must do research in order to give the exact food, or they could make them very sick !!!
No kidding! Especially with squirrels and wildlife, it is very easy for them to get Metabolic Bone Disease.
Load More Replies...As a bat lover since kindergarten, I want to thank you for seeing past all the bad reputations these little guys get!
They are such amazing creatures! This little guy stayed with me for a day before going to a more sprecialized bag rehab.
Load More Replies...Some bats are cute, but we need more bat houses to be rid of mosquitoes !!!
A juvenile mouse caught by a cat. Rats have larger eyes :)
Load More Replies...He is a 8 year old blind, three legged Flemish giant rescued from a meat farm. The sweetest bunny I have ever known, loves fostering kittens and other animals!
Load More Replies...No kidding, Delilah my parakeet is just a total goof.
Load More Replies...Parrots are such funny creatures! Love them!
Load More Replies...She stole my caremel... don’t worry, she didn’t get to eat it as that would be unhealthy for her, but it sure makes a cute picture! 😊
Load More Replies...This was when my two bunnies were still being introduced to each other. Winter (white) is a fully able bunny who loves jumping over everything, and Ajax (left) is blind and three legged. The uncovered cage is larger and since there is no risk of him escaping I let him enjoy some more space.

I had to pass their inspections, but if you do it that way, you will be considered a sanctuary and the Humane Society foots the bills (food and vet, etc). You foster and do all of the hands on work. BUT!!! It is a 24/7 operation!! It is awesome, but EXHAUSTING!!!
Load More Replies...You are very kind. Kindness to animals is one of the highest forms of civilization, because they can’t repay you. Thank you.
I don't know why I did not see this article before. But I love this! As some others, I wish the photo's had captions. But nonetheless, THANK YOU for rescuing them! Working so hard to make sure they are safe and healthy! It is hard work, but it must be so rewarding! I would love to do the same. But I am affected with 2 diseases that give me excruciating pain 24/7, which leaves me with very little energy. It is possible that I will be cured, but it might take a long time. If and when I am cured, I would love to set up something like this! Again: Thank you an infinite amount of times, for giving these beautiful animals such a great life and keeping them happy and healthy! You are a true hero!
