What began as a fun gift idea for my amazing in-laws has blossomed into a terrific creative pursuit.
It is both fun and very rewarding to spend time painting these sweet animals. Each dog has an entirely different personality, which I try and capture on canvas, pretty much one hair at a time.
Even though the name of my Facebook page is Fuzzy Memory by Kate, the majority of the animals I paint are still alive and well. The name is a play on words since all the pets are fuzzy and the paintings will hopefully bring happy memories to mind for years to come. So far I have only painted dog and one cow, but I am looking forward to painting all sorts of pets in the future. They all will have great personalities to try and recreate in paint.
