I love being creative, and I love taking the selfie to the next level and lately I have been taking a different self portrait every month.
I do my own hair and make up and even make some of the props myself. The backdrop was handpainted by me, and for this one I even made the shoulder pieces from an old bra and some feathers bought on eBay!
It took about 4 hours in total – hair and makeup 1 hour, 30 minutes to set up and dismantle, photographing took only 30 minutes, editing 1 hour and then about an hour to create the video.
I already have next months Christmas portrait lined up and in the new year I plan to make detailed YouTube videos on how I create the portraits from start to finish!
It just goes to show you don’t need fancy gear and big studio – just a camera, photoshop and a little imagination!
