My name is Amanda Barnes and I make small birds from fabric and thread which I decorate with hundreds and thousands of tiny stitches to give the illusion of feathers. I try to make them with some movement, whether it is a hummingbird in flight or an Osprey in flight with a shimmering fish in his talons.
