Having grown up near the Pacific Ocean and redwood forests, I feel that there is something magical and fairy tale like about this area. It has a very unique feel that I have not seen represented widely in fantasy works. When I started working on my own project the Pacific northwest seemed like an obvious setting.
My goal is to create an original fantasy world that conveys the character and charm of this region. Towards that end much of the story will be based on environments and animals found there.
