There are a thousand and one (at least) YouTube channels out there that post creepy Reddit stories. I enjoy them immensely. However, the majority of them use either a blank background, or a static image throughout. There are some that go out of their way to populate the video with somewhat relevant stock images or video footage, which is better.
With the proliferation of AI art generators, and the amazing work they’re putting out, I thought it would be fun to try to make some bespoke art for some of these Reddit stories. In general, AI art has a tendency to be on the creepy side, no matter how hard you try to make it ‘normal’. So, I decided to lean into that aspect.
Similarly, I’m trying to find unique stories. A lot of these channels go to Reddit, find what’s on the top of the page, and go with that. It makes sense that if it’s popular on Reddit, it’ll be popular on YouTube. However, I’m trying to dig around and find some of the lesser known, but still good, stories to work with.
This is only my second video, so far. The first one came out so rough, it’s pretty embarrassing. But I feel like I’m getting better. I’m also playing around with format. My first two videos are one story each. My next video will be a slightly longer collection.
I hope people enjoy it, but criticism is definitely welcome in the comments.
